Chassis - F1-67

The F1-67 chassis has been produced using 3D CAD technology , original 2D drawings were transposed to 3D and manufactured using laser cutting technology to produce an exceptionally accurate and strong structure , due to not having to meet any minimum weight , unlike the original cars , the chassis has been positively over engineered in order to provide very significant driver protection .

The basic structure is produced by tig welding 4 box bulkheads , these are then slotted onto six two inch x 2mm wall tubes that run front to back and ensure positive alignment to the structure . Once positioned the extensive triangulation tubes are added and the complete structure tig welded , a process taking nearly 5 days .
